Fifty-Seven Life Science Companies Selected to Present at Invest Northwest(C) 2007

SEATTLE, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The selection committee of Invest Northwest, a Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association (WBBA) event, extended invitations to 57 of the Pacific Northwest's most innovative public and private life science companies to present at Invest Northwest 2007, March 20 - 21, in Seattle.

Invest Northwest is a forum for senior executives from public and private life sciences companies to tell their stories to institutional investors, investment bankers, fund managers, venture capitalists, analysts, angel investors and prospective corporate partners from around the world.

Of the 57 presenting companies, 37 are from Washington State; 11 are from British Columbia; five are from Oregon and three are from Alberta. One company, Epigenomics, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, has a significant R & D presence in Washington State and is grandfathered into the conference. To qualify as a presenting company at Invest Northwest, a firm must be based in the Pacific Northwest and have the biosciences as its business base.

In addition to company presentations, the March 21- 22 forum will feature keynote speakers Ed Fritzky, founding member and former chairman, president and CEO of Immunex, and John Milligan, Executive VP and CFO, Gilead Sciences, plus industry panel discussions and a networking reception.
